The Broadcasting Commission Documentation Centre (Library) functions as the information hub of the Commission and supports the information needs of its team members, members of the broadcasting & subscriber television industry, researchers, students and members of the public.

The Library's mission is to support the strategic objectives of the Commission by making accessible information on broadcasting regulations and associate works and services.

Resources

The collection includes various formats ranging from Text and Reference Books, Laws, Gazettes, Newspaper Clippings, Magazines, Journals, Reports, Feasibility Studies, DVDs (training and major events) and Research Papers.

The collection spans the following areas:

  • Media Management
  • Media literacy
  • Media law
  • Culture studies
  • Communications law
  • Media policy
  • Records Management


Library Use

Persons will be admitted to use the library upon confirming an appointment with the Registrar/Librarian. Such person(s) will be permitted read-only access to available materials. Photocopying, printing and spiral binding services attract a fee. All services provided with the exception of reading will terminate 30 minutes before the library's closing time. Internet access is free to users.

Monday - Thursdays, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Fridays, 8:30 - 4:00 p.m.
Closed on all public holidays.
